Tournament Details

On Saturday, November 11th, 2017, the Carpenters Union Local 255 will host
the High Tides Striper Tournament for the benefit of the Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund, Inc.
This will be the 11th installment of our annual event.


The 11th Annual High Tides Striper Tournament will take place on Saturday
November 11th, with the Captains’ Meeting 7 p.m. on Friday November 10th 
at Lacey Elks, 900 Beach Blvd., Forked River, NJ 08731 or the VFW Post 386 at 419
Congress Avenue in Cape May. Actual weigh stations for the Saturday event
will be at Lacey Elks (Northern) or at Hinch’s Marina (Southern).

Scales are open from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“We are excited to announce that Brendan’s Fund is now aligned with
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia proceeds will benefit the Brenden Borek
Endowment fund at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia,”
said Tournament Organizer Andy Bulakowski.
“The Carpenters Local 255 is proud to host and support this noble effort.”

The Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund is a grassroots organization
whose efforts are directed toward providing comprehensive, compassionate
and personalized assistance to pediatric cancer patients and their
families. Since its inception in 1992, Brendan’s Fund has helped area
families through the crisis of their child’s illness.

In 2014, 52 boats entered the contest with Matt Unsworth of the Bent Hook
taking the top prize of the contest with 48.50 pounds. Total prize payout for
this year’s event is more than $6,000.

A $60.00 entry fee not only allows anglers to fish the tournament but gains entry to the Awards Dinner and free gourmet dinner with cash bar.

Northern Scale meets at Lacey Elks Lodge – 900 Beach Rd., Forked River, NJ 
Southern Scale meets at  VFW Post 386 – 419 Congress Avenue Cape May, NJ

Free hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will accompany the event.

Scales will open at 3pm and close at 5pm.

  • 2nd Place: $1000
  • 3rd Place: $500
  • 4th Place: $400
  • 5th Place: $300

All prize money will be awarded at the dinner.
